Maria Konnikova embarked on an ambitious book writing project a couple of years ago which sent her on an incredible journey into the poker world from her “regular job” at the New Yorker. Delving into the inner world of poker including tutelage from Erik Seidel and Phil Galfond gives her a unique insight that most amateurs never get the opportunity to experience and as a result she has become a brilliant mind in poker. Her book project which was initially slated for a year has been extended as she explores the parallels between life and poker in more depth. Sarah Herring talks to Konnikova on break of the EPT Barcelona Main Event about where the project stands and what her future in poker looks like.
